[목회서신] 경청하기 위해서는 내면의 혀를 다스려야 합니다! | In Order to Listen, We Must Control Our Inner Tongue!

기도 가운데 경청 기도가 있습니다. 경청 기도는 간구하는 기도보다 훈련이 필요합니다. 그 이유는 말하는 것보다 듣는 것이 더 어렵기 때문입니다. 경청하기 위해서는 집중해야 합니다. 경청하기 위해서는 연습과 훈련이 필요합니다. 경청 기도를 드리기 위해서는 경청 기도가 무엇이며, 왜 경청 기도를 드려야 하며, 어떻게 경청 기도를 드리는지를 배워야 합니다.

경청 기도란 하나님의 음성을 듣는 것입니다. 하나님의 사람에게 하나님의 음성을 듣는 것보다 더 소중한 것은 없습니다. 하나님의 음성을 듣는 것은 하나님의 인도를 받는 다는 것을 의미합니다. 하나님은 우리를 최상의 길로 인도해 주기 원하십니다. 하나님의 음성을 듣는 것은 하나님을 경외함을 의미합니다. 우리는 우리가 존중하는 사람의 말에 귀를 기울입니다. 우리가 하나님을 존귀히 여기고 경외할 때 하나님의 음성에 귀를 기울이게 됩니다. 경외함은 존중을 낳고, 존중은 경청을 낳습니다.

하나님의 음성을 듣기 위해서는 하나님이 우리에게 말씀하시는 통로를 이해해야 합니다. 하나님은 성경을 통해 말씀하십니다. 하나님의 음성을 듣기 원한다면 성경을 날마다 읽어야 합니다. 날마다 하나님의 음성을 듣는 길은 하나님의 말씀을 날마다 읽는 것입니다. 가장 안전하게 하나님의 음성을 듣는 길은 성경을 통해서입니다. 우리가 성경을 읽을 때 성령님께서 우리에게 하나님의 말씀을 깨닫게 해 주십니다. 깨달음을 통해 우리를 깨우쳐 주시고, 깨우침을 통해 우리를 인도해 주십니다.

하나님은 영적 인도자들을 통해 말씀하십니다. 곧 교회를 통해 말씀하십니다. 하나님은 교회에 세우신 영적 인도자들을 통해 말씀하십니다. 설교를 통해, 성경공부를 통해 말씀하십니다. 하나님은 환경을 통해 말씀하십니다. 우리가 주의 깊게 살피게 되면 환경을 통해 우리에게 말씀하시는 하나님의 음성을 듣게 됩니다. 하나님은 고난을 통해 말씀하십니다. 고난은 우리를 깨우치시는 하나님의 은총의 도구입니다.

경청 기도를 해야 하는 이유는 우리 영혼이 힘을 얻기 위해서입니다. 경청 기도를 통해 우리 영혼은 좋은 것을 먹고, 즐거움을 얻게 됩니다. 우리 영혼이 소생하게 됩니다. “너희는 귀를 기울이고 내게로 나아와 들으라 그리하면 너희의 영혼이 살리라”(사 55:3상). 하나님의 음성은 사랑의 음성입니다. 우리를 사랑하시는 하나님의 음성을 들을 때 우리 영혼은 소생하게 됩니다. 하나님의 음성은 위로의 음성입니다. 격려의 음성입니다. 소망의 음성입니다. 우리가 하나님의 음성을 들을 때 우리는 위로를 받고 격려를 받게 됩니다. 또한 소망을 품게 됩니다. 하늘의 기쁨을 누리게 됩니다. 우리 인생이 아무리 곤고해도 하나님의 음성을 듣게 되면 결코 낙심하지 않게 됩니다.

경청 기도의 방법은 침묵에 있습니다. 언어의 침묵과 함께 내면의 침묵이 필요합니다. 우리가 누군가의 음성에 귀를 기울이기 위해서는 침묵해야 합니다. 말을 하는 동안에는 들을 수가 없습니다. 침묵하기 위해서는 내면의 혀가 말하지 않도록 내면의 혀를 다스려야 합니다. 처음 침묵 훈련을 할 때 많은 생각이 떠오를 수 있습니다. 긴급한 일들이 떠오를 수 있습니다. 정말 긴급한 일이 떠오르면 메모지에 메모를 하고 다시 침묵으로 들어가십시오. 침묵이 깊어지면 어느 순간 고요함이 임하게 됩니다. 마음이 고요해 질 때 하나님의 음성을 잘 들을 수가 있습니다.

경청 기도의 방법은 기다림에 있습니다. 우리는 하나님께 간구하는 기도를 많이 합니다. 반면에 하나님이 우리에게 말씀하실 시간을 잘 내어드리지 못할 때가 많습니다. 하나님은 우리가 기도할 때 우리를 최상의 길로 인도해 주시길 원하십니다. 문제는 우리가 기다리지 못하고 너무 일찍 기도의 자리를 떠나는 데 있습니다. 그런 까닭에 하나님의 음성을 잘 듣지 못하는 것입니다. 경청에서 가장 중요한 것은 하나님을 경외함이라고 말씀드렸습니다. 경외함의 태도는 기다림에 있습니다. 하나님이 말씀하시기 까지 인내를 가지고 끈기 있게 기다리는 것이 경외함의 표지입니다. 끈기를 가지고 기다리면 하나님의 음성을 듣게 됩니다.

경청 기도의 방법은 순종하는 자세에 있습니다. 경청은 청종하는 것입니다. 청종하는 것은 순종을 의미합니다. 하나님이 무슨 말씀을 하시든지 순종하겠다는 자세를 갖게 되면 하나님의 음성을 잘 듣게 됩니다. 우리는 순종하는 것에 대한 부정적인 생각을 가지고 있습니다. 하지만 순종은 축복 받는 비결입니다. 사랑 받는 비결입니다. 쓰임 받는 비결입니다. 경청 기도를 통해 하나님의 인도를 받으십시오. 아침 일찍 말씀 묵상을 통해 하나님의 음성을 들으십시오. 또한 아침에 묵상한 말씀을 하루 종일 되새김질 하면서 하나님의 음성을 들으십시오. 경청 기도를 통해 영혼의 즐거움을 누리십시오. 하나님이 예비하신 풍성한 복을 받아 누리고 나누시길 빕니다.

In Order to Listen, We Must Control Our Inner Tongue!

Among the various types of prayers, there is a prayer to listen. The listening prayer needs more training than the prayer to ask. It’s because it is harder to listen than to speak. In order to listen, we must focus. In order to listen, we need to practice and train. In order to pray the listening prayer, we must learn the following: what listening prayer is; why we have to pray to listen; and how we can pray a listening prayer.

Listening prayer is hearing the voice of God. There is nothing more precious to a man of God than hearing God’s voice. Hearing God's voice means being guided by God. God wants to lead us toward the best road. To hear God's voice means to fear God. We listen to those we honor. When we honor and fear God, we listen to God's voice. Fear produces honor, and honor produces listening.

In order to hear God's voice, we need to understand the channel through which God speaks to us. God speaks to us through the Bible. If you want to hear God's voice, you must read the Bible every day. The way to hear God's voice every day is to read God's Word every day. The safest way to hear God's voice is through the Bible. When we read the Bible, the Holy Spirit makes us understand the Word of God. He enlightens us through understanding and guides us through enlightenment.

God speaks to us through spiritual leaders. That is, He speaks through the church. God speaks through the spiritual leaders that He has established in the church. He speaks through sermons and through Bible studies. God speaks through our circumstances. When we look around carefully, we hear God's voice speaking to us through our circumstances. God speaks through suffering. Suffering is an instrument of God's grace that enlightens us.

The reason we need to pray is so that our souls can be strengthened. Through the listening prayer, our souls eat good things and we feel pleased. Our souls are revived. “Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live” (Isaiah 55:3a). God's voice is the voice of love. When we hear the voice of God who loves us, our souls are revived. God's voice is a voice of comfort. It is the voice of encouragement. It is the voice of hope. When we hear the voice of God, we are comforted and encouraged. We will also have hope. We will enjoy the joy from heaven. No matter how difficult our lives are, if we listen to God's voice, we will never be discouraged.

The way of the listening prayer lies in silence. Along with the silence of language, inner silence is necessary. In order to listen to someone, we must be silent. We cannot hear while we speak. To be silent, we must control our inner tongue so that it does not speak. Many thoughts may come to our mind when we first practice silence. Urgent things may come to mind. When something really urgent comes to mind, take a note of it on a notepad and go back to silence. As the silence deepens, in some moment there will be quietness. When your heart is quiet, you can hear God's voice well.

The way of listening prayer lies in waiting. We pray a lot of asking prayers to God. On the other hand, there are many times when we don't make spare time for God to talk to us. God wants to lead us in the best way when we pray. The problem is that we do not wait and leave the place of prayer too early. That's why we can't hear God's voice well. I said that the most important thing in listening to God’s voice is to fear God. The attitude of fearing God lies in waiting. Waiting patiently with endurance for God to speak is a sign of fearing God. If you wait patiently, you will hear the voice of God.

The way of listening prayer lies in the attitude of obedience. To listen is to pay attention. Paying attention means obeying. If you have the attitude to obey whatever God says, you will be able to hear God's voice well. We have negative thoughts about being obedient. But obedience is the secret to being blessed. It is the secret to being loved. It is the secret to being used by God. Get guidance from God through listening prayer. Hear God's voice through early morning meditation on the Word. Also, listen to the voice of God while reflecting on the words you meditated on in the morning, all day long. Enjoy the joy of the soul through the listening prayer.
