새벽을 깨우는 사람은 지혜로운 사람입니다. 새벽을 깨우는 것은 쉬운 일은 아닙니다. 쉬운 일이 아니기 때문에 새벽을 깨우는 것은 복된 일입니다. 저는 예수님을 만난 후로 새벽을 깨우는 삶을 살고 있습니다. 군대 생활을 할 때도 새벽에 깨어 무릎을 꿇고 기도했습니다. 새벽 기도를 제가 강조하는 이유가 있습니다.

첫째, 새벽에 기도해야 하는 이유는 예수님이 새벽에 기도하셨기 때문입니다. “새벽 아직도 밝기 전에 예수께서 일어나 나가 한적한 곳으로 가사 거기서 기도하시더니”(막 1:35). 예수님은 새벽 일찍 일어나 기도하셨습니다. 새벽에 기도하시는 중에 하나님 아버지가 주시는 능력과 지혜를 공급받으셨습니다. 하나님 아버지의 인도를 받으셨습니다. 새벽에 누구를 만나고 누구를 만나지 않아야 할 것을 결정하셨습니다. 새벽에 예수님의 사명을 재확인하셨습니다. 예수님은 우리의 모범이십니다. 예수님은 새벽 기도의 모범을 친히 보여 주셨습니다. 예수님은 “나는 다윗의 뿌리요 자손이니 곧 광명한 새벽 별이라 하시더라”(계 22:16하)고 말씀하십니다.

둘째, 새벽에 기도해야 하는 이유는 새벽에 하나님의 도움을 받을 수 있기 때문입니다. 하나님은 새벽에 우리를 도와주십니다. “하나님이 그 성 중에 계시매 성이 흔들리지 아니할 것이라 새벽에 하나님이 도우시리로다”(시 46:5). 기도란 하나님의 도움을 받는 것입니다. 하나님은 기도를 통해 우리를 도와주십니다. 하나님은 우리를 도와주시길 원하십니다. 그 이유는 우리를 사랑하시기 때문입니다. 우리가 자주 인용하고 암송하는 말씀을 다시 한번 나누고 싶습니다. “그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라”(히 4:16). 하나님의 은혜 가운데 때를 따라 도와주시는 은혜가 있습니다. 특별히 큰 환난을 만났을 때는 큰 도움이 필요합니다. “하나님은 우리의 피난처시요 힘이시니 환난 중에 만날 큰 도움이시라”(시 46:1). 다윗은 새벽을 깨울 줄 알았던 하나님의 사람입니다. 그는 새벽을 깨우기로 작정했던 사람입니다. “내 영광아 깰지어다 비파야, 수금아, 깰지어다 내가 새벽을 깨우리로다”(시 57:8). 인생에서 중요한 것은 선택과 결정입니다. 새벽을 깨우는 것은 원함으로만 되는 것이 아닙니다. 선택하고 결단함으로 되는 것입니다. 예수님을 믿는 사람이라면 기도의 중요성을 알고 있습니다. 하지만 기도의 중요성을 아는 것만으로는 기도의 축복을 누릴 수 없습니다. 기도하기로 선택하고 결단할 때 기도의 축복을 누릴 수 있습니다.

셋째, 새벽에 기도해야 하는 이유는 새벽에 예비하신 은혜가 있기 때문입니다. 예수님의 부활 사건은 새벽에 일어났습니다. 부활의 새벽은 고요했습니다. 은밀했습니다. 부활하신 주님을 만나는 영광을 누린 사람들은 새벽을 깨우며 무덤을 찾아온 여인들이었습니다. “안식일이 다 지나고 안식 후 첫날이 되려는 새벽에 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보려고 갔더니”(마 28:1). 특별히 새벽을 깨워 무덤을 찾아갔던 막달라 마리아는 천사들을 만났습니다. 또한 부활하신 예수님의 첫 목격자가 되었습니다. 또한 그녀는 부활의 첫 증인이 되었습니다. 만약 그녀가 새벽을 깨우지 않았다면 부활하신 주님을 직접 만나는 영광을 누리지 못했을 것입니다.

넷째, 새벽에 기도해야 하는 이유는 새벽에 주시는 말씀이 있기 때문입니다. 기도는 언제나 말씀과 함께 가야 합니다. “너희가 내 안에 거하고 내 말이 너희 안에 거하면 무엇이든지 원하는 대로 구하라 그리하면 이루리라”(요 15:7). 기도하는 사람은 약속의 말씀을 붙잡고 기도해야 합니다. 말씀 없이 기도하는 것은 위험합니다. 기도 없이 말씀만 읽는 것도 위험합니다. 우리는 말씀을 붙잡고 성령님 안에서 기도해야 합니다(엡 6:18). 또한 성령님 안에서 기도하는 마음으로 말씀을 읽어야 합니다. 새벽에 말씀을 받고 그 말씀을 하루 종일 묵상하십시오. “주의 말씀을 조용히 읊조리려고 내가 새벽녘에 눈을 떴나이다”(시 119:148). 새벽에 말씀을 조용히 읊조리면서 기도하십시오. 그 말씀을 하루 종일 조용히 읊조리면서 살도록 하십시오.

다섯째, 새벽에 기도해야 하는 이유는 새벽을 통해 인내를 배우기 때문입니다. 성경은 인내의 가치를 높이 평가합니다. “인내를 온전히 이루라 이는 너희로 온전하고 구비하여 조금도 부족함이 없게 하려 함이라”(약 1:4). 저는 새벽을 깨우면서 인내하는 법을 배웠습니다. 인내하는 중에 하나님의 지혜를 선물로 받았습니다. 하나님이 주시는 놀라운 영감을 선물로 받았습니다. 벤저민 프랭클린은 “인내할 수 있는 사람은 그가 바라는 것을 무엇이든 이룰 수 있다”고 말했습니다. 라 퐁텐은 “인내는 모든 문을 연다.”고 말했습니다. 기도를 통해 인내하는 법을 배우십시오. 연말 특새는 한 해를 잘 마감하고 복된 새해를 맞이하기 위해 준비된 기도의 축제입니다. 함께 새벽을 깨우며 기도합시다. 새벽에 예비하신 놀라운 복을 받아 누리고 나누시길 바랍니다.

The Wisdom of Those Who Awake the Dawn and Pray

The one who awakes the dawn is a wise person. Awaking the dawn is not an easy task. And because it is not an easy task, awaking the dawn is a blessing. Ever since I met Jesus, I have been living a life of waking up at dawn. Even during my military service, I woke up at dawn and knelt to pray. There is a reason why I emphasize morning prayer.

First, the reason we need to pray at dawn is because Jesus prayed at dawn. “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed” (Mark 1:35). Jesus got up early in the morning and prayed. During his early morning prayers, he was supplied with the power and wisdom of his Heavenly Father. He received guidance from the Heavenly Father. He decided whom to meet at dawn and whom not to meet. He reaffirmed his mission at dawn. Jesus is our example. Jesus, himself, gave the example of morning prayer. Jesus said, “I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star” (Revelation 22:16b).

Second, the reason we need to pray at dawn is because we can receive God's help at dawn. God helps us at dawn. “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day” (Psalm 46:5). Prayer is receiving God's help. God helps us through prayer. God wants to help us. It is because He loves us. I would like to share once again the verses we often quote and recite. “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). Among the grace of God, there is grace to help us in our time of need. Especially when we are faced with great tribulation, we need great help. “Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn” (Psalm 57:8). The important things in life are our choices and decisions. Waking up at dawn does not happen by just desiring to do so. It is done by our choice and determination. Anyone who believes in Jesus knows the importance of prayer. But one cannot enjoy the blessings of prayer just by knowing the importance of prayer. He can enjoy the blessings of prayer only when he chooses and decides to pray.

Third, the reason we need to pray at dawn is because there is grace prepared at dawn. The resurrection of Jesus happened at dawn. The dawn of the resurrection was quiet. It was secret. The people who enjoyed the glory of meeting the risen Lord were the women who woke up at dawn and came to the tomb “After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb” (Matthew 28:1). In particular, Mary Magdalene, who woke up at dawn to visit the tomb, met angels. She also became the first eyewitness of the risen Jesus. She also became the first person to witness the resurrection. Had she not awakened the dawn, she would not have had the honor of meeting the risen Lord in person.

Fourth, the reason we need to pray at dawn is because there are words given at dawn. Prayer should always go hand in hand with the Word. “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you” (John 15:7). Those who pray must hold onto the Word of promise and pray. It is dangerous to pray without the Word. Reading the Word without prayer is also dangerous. We must hold onto the Word and pray in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 6:18). Also, we must read the Word with a prayerful heart in the Holy Spirit. Receive the Word at dawn and meditate on it throughout the day. “My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises” (Psalm 119:148). Pray in the morning while quietly reciting the Word. Live by silently reciting the verses all day long.

Fifth, the reason we need to pray at dawn is because we learn patience through the dawn. The Bible values ​​patience. “Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:4). I learned to be patient by waking up at dawn. While persevering, I received the wisdom of God as a gift. I received a wonderful inspiration from God as a gift. Benjamin Franklin said, "He that can have patience can have what he will." La Fontaine said, “Patience opens all doors.” Learn to persevere through prayer.
